My Story

I'll try tell you the short version...

Once upon a time, over 44 something years ago, a creative little soul was born in South Africa. - The End.

No seriously, as a kid I learnt to swim in sea water, I was bare foot in mud puddles most of the time, I drank water from the garden hose, my curfew was when the street lights came on and I never owned a cell phone until I was paying rent. (Of course, this was back in the day when SA had electricity, water, street lights and cell phone signal). So basically being South African is a skill that we Saffa's should be entitled to list on our CVs.

Fast-forward to now, I occasionally drink a wee glass of Bailey's (Amarula Cream Liqueur) whilst sitting around the fire pit out in the garden of my farm cottage, which is perfectly situated amongst the rolling hills of Scotland.

Wow, I sure sound like I'm living the dream!

Pffft... Firstly I promised you the short version and I'm a woman of my word, and Secondly... I would have to upgrade my website package to get more storage space to tell you the full version. - Ummm, nah lets not!

Okay maybe one day when I'm big!

To this day, those who know me will say, I'm so Bossy! No, I'm not bossy, I just have brilliant leadership skills and that's why I'm a successful creative entrepreneur.

If only my school ART teacher who hated me and refused to let me in her class could see me now,... (Insert Highland Cow Emoji) LOL.... ! Anyway, that hater has been my motivator.

I have two incredible sons and and the most amazing dog called Bobby who has a live-wire character to match my bubbly, witty, charismatic personality. He is a huge Tik Tok fan.

Every colour known to man is my favourite and my heart is like a South African Mini-Bus Taxi, bursting at the seems yet there is always room for one more.

So that's me!

Nothing gets my creative juices flowing more than being a designer of sorts.

I love helping Artists and Creative Business owners with Social Media Management & Content Creation to increase brand awareness and sales. I also offer adhoc Virtual Assistant services to those needing a PA to attend to admin and tasks that fall behind and generally pile up into unorganised chaos.

We all know someone who could use my help and skills.

Mel's Art Club

A fun and safe class environment where young people between the ages of

5 -12 yrs, can explore their creative side doing arts & crafts whilst experimenting with various different materials

and art techniques.

Adult classes are also available.

Did I mention I also do paint parties for birthdays and special occasions?

but one who inspires others.
I was created to create art and I can literally paint on anything that paint will stick to. I have been adding colour to walls since I learned to hold a paintbrush in my little hands as a "wee lassie". Life is better when you add colour and this is my favorite way to

express my love for art.

If I'm not painting, I'm not breathing!
